Another successful AED/CPR training evening

Another successful AED/CPR training evening sponsored by the Thorndon Residents’ Association and delivered by Wellington Free Ambulance

The second of two AED/CPR training sessions was held on 22 September 2026, further increasing the number of Thorndon and Pipitea residents with the skills and confidence to assist someone experiencing, or appearing to experience, a cardiac arrest.
Participants were shown the contents of an AED cabinet, how to correctly use an automated external defibrillator (AED), and how to perform CPR. With more AEDs being installed across Wellington and the wider region, these practical skills are becoming increasingly valuable within our community.

Our sincere thanks go to the trainers from Wellington Free Ambulance for their expertise and the high quality of the training provided across both sessions. Special thanks to Nick and Nomi, who led last night’s session and ensured participants left with greater knowledge, confidence, and preparedness to respond in an emergency.
