PROJECT UPDATE
We are excited to let you know that the final phase of construction works will get underway later this month, with LT McGuinness continuing as the Main Contractor.
What you will see from now until the end of the year is:
- Site establishment Zone 1 and Zone 3 will be the two main construction zones; both will be cordoned off with fencing and /or construction hoardings.
- The buildings in Zone 1 and Zone 2 and Blocks MB4 and B1 in Zone 3 will be either removed or demolished.
- The remaining buildings in Zone 3 will be prepared for relocation into Zone 1.
- Earthworks and inground services installations will commence in Zone 1 once it is cleared to prepare for the relocation of Blocks MB1, MB 2 and MB3 to their new permanent location.
The buildings will be deconstructed into segments, and moved by house-moving truck and trailer, along Pipitea, Moturoa and Hobson Streets at night-time.
Once Zone 3 is cleared, earth works and inground services installations will begin, in preparation for the new Administration building and new school Hall and Performing Arts block that will be constructed throughout 2027.
