The Wellington City Council has now committed $11 million for essential upgrades to Begonia House.
In light of this, all donations will now go towards supporting additional enhancements that elevate the building’s design, functionality, and visitor experience.
The Friends of the Wellington Botanic Gardens are seeking to raise $1 million to fund upgraded fittings, improved landscaping, and final touches that will ensure Begonia House remains a source of civic pride for the next 60 years.
