The TRA has received an invitation to propose one representative for a series of WCC convened workshops later this month. “The objective will be to provide background guidance to Council on District Plan provisions which are reasonable, future focused, practicable and consistent with statutory requirements.”

This is part of WCC giving further consideration as to whether a Plan change is required for a Thorndon residential heritage area. Eventually a report will be considered by the Council’s Strategy and Policy Committee on Heritage provisions for Thorndon Residential Areas. The report will summarise community feedback, key issues and a preferred way forward.

The TRA Sub-committee on environment and planning is managing this project.
